Here’s a snapshot of my journey as a chess coach:
• I’ve been honored with the title of World Chess Federation (FIDE) International Master, reflecting years of dedication and hard work in the world of chess.
• Moreover, I hold the esteemed title of USCF Life Master, a recognition of my achievements within the United States Chess Federation.
• Teaching Experience: For over 15 years, I’ve had the privilege of sharing my passion for chess with students from various backgrounds and skill levels in the greater Chicago area.
• Tournament Achievements: Alongside coaching, I’ve enjoyed success in various tournaments, including notable victories such as the National US G/60 Championship in 2006, the British Junior Chess Championship in 2001, and achieving the significant milestone of being a Triple Crown Winner in the Biel International Chess Festival, Switzerland 2005.
• Community Impact: My involvement in the chess community extends beyond lessons and personal accomplishments. By hosting tournaments online and in real life, I have enabled students to test their understanding of this ancient and royal game. Participants have had opportunities to make memories and compete in various locations, including schools, libraries, and recreation centers. Through these events, I’ve aimed to foster a sense of community, provide venues for friendly competition, and promote the growth ofchess within our local areas.
